For the Vinyasa-obsessed. If you like to flow, this class is for you! Taught in less of a "workshop" style and has more of a "master class" feel to it, Goldie will lead you through a creative, but more importantly, well thought out vinyasa sequence with an emphasis on intuitive movement and your internal metronome. Class starts with pranayama and visualization, leading into asana and eventually building up to a stronger flow working towards postural peak(s). “Smart sequencing” makes the unimaginable more possible. Open to all, regardless of practitioner level, each posture will be presented with modifications for both the beginner and advanced student.

Lateral stretching, often referred to as “side body opening” is something most of us crave and need on a daily basis. As many of us plow through life head on and live in linear behaviors, we will do the opposite here.  The agenda here is to access our side body to create new found space, new found sensation, and in turn, new found asanas. If you have a rib cage and like to move, this class is suited for you.

Yoganidrasana – yogaview Chicago

  • yogaview Chicago

We all know that putting our feet behind our head, closing our eyes and meditating is not what yoga looks like today. However, this doesn’t mean we have to be in advanced classes to *attempt* advanced postures. It means we have to be given the tools to breakdown these postures and look at them from a different angle. In this all levels workshop (yep..all levels!) we will take a 3-dimensional approach to what yoganidrasana looks like on our modern bodies today. Goldie can’t promise to blow your mind (although she’s pretty confident she will) but she does promise you’ll get closer to yoganidrasana than ever before.

Props to You – Coolidge Corner Yoga

Don’t let props fool you. They’re not just for restorative and yin classes. There’s an unfortunate misconception that props such as blocks, straps and blankets are only for the lazy and novice. Wrong! The more advanced student knows how to use props to deepen their experience and properly fold and unfold their body. This workshop will be taught in a flow style, using props 100% of the class. We will sweat, get creative, and learn how to make your day to day practice more potent so you can take what you've learned into all classes, even when props aren't cued. If this class was a kid, this would be "The Cool Kid."
